Christian the Lion & GLITCHDICK - Stupid Fucking Dubstep Mix

Here is another stupid fucking dubstep mix, courtesy of Christian the Lion aka GLITCHDICK.  Stream below and grab the free DL if your music collection could use another hour of robot-sex soundscapes.

Lab Coat Summer Sampler 2011

As Two Fresh just announced the Mothership Tour with Skrillex and 12th Planet later this fall, unveiled a great video from their performance at Summer Camp this year (embedded below), a new summer mix from the duo is certainly in order.  In addition to their own contributions, homies from their Lab Coat consortium are also on the mix--if you haven't heard these fellas, have a listen and see from where Two Fresh pulls at least some of their muse.

The Dubstep Blog Summer Mix

Just a note here to all promoters and artists that try to get their content onto bass culture blogs.  When the artwork attached with your material is a picture of (someone that at least looks like) Mr. T holding a dude in a suit, bloggers are going to play the mix--if only out of curiosity's sake.  After listening to the grimy mixdown, half of me wanted to post the mix for mosh pit's sake, and the other half just wanted this picture on 507projex.  Too bad the free downloads have reached capacity, this mix is bonkers.  Props to The Dubstep Blog for reaching out, and for the impeccably rad artwork.

Ana Sia - Tanlines

Photo Credit: Nick Patton / North Bass Media

When Ana Sia came to Minneapolis last June, she posited a question on Facebook…something to the effect of, “Hey Minneapolis! I’m coming home to play the Loft of Friday and want to know what you want to hear.  Should I a) play dubstep and stuff I have been playing or b) should I play some brand new bass nasty I’ve been getting down on?”  The overwhelming response was “B, B, B, B!” and when Friday came she proceeded to drop that new new on her hometown crowd…to great, great effect.  Pretty sure I heard no dubstep in her set, much to my satisfaction.

Ana’s latest free mix, Tanlines, takes a page out of that recent Minneapolis performance and it is quite relieving—thank god there are producers/DJs out there that are not obliged to incessantly play BWAAAH-BWEE-BWEE-NAH-NAH-NAH-NA-NAAAAN-WOMP WOMP [insert robot clusterfunk sounds here] dubstep at every show.  Just some good ol’ bass-driven beats, courtesy of the wonderful Ana Sia.
