Half-way through a harrowing if not mind-boggingly annoying series of airline industry failures, Mochipet took time between flight delays to rawk the Loft in Minneapolis on April 8th, 2011. Brought to you once again by Bass Freak Productions, Mochipet devasted the dance floor with his stylistic blend of glitchy, breakcore science pureed with a palatable array of proper dubsteppery and topped off with some classic eighties remixes for consummate measure. 507projex was slated for an interview with the Pet, including those crowdsourced on our Facebook page; however, due to overall airline inefficiencies and lack of winning there was not enough time. Do not fear, we'll get those questions answered for ya and will post them here. Until then, enjoy the show!
Just in time for a new year is a new remix from everyone's favorite type of mochi, green tea mochi. Err, wait...MOCHIPET! Grab HOTTUB (FOUR) LOKOS ONLY - Mochipet Remix here.
The lights dim, the dance floor frothing with Minneapolis’ hawt sweaties, the lasers illuminated, the champagne on ice…it was Mochipet’s (David Wang, Daly City Records) debut performance in Minnesota.
Brought to Envy Nightclub and the Minnesota Massive by Big O Promotions and Productions, the evening opened properly with a dose of electro house tag-teaming ala Dirty Talk (Lucy Luxe and Mara), followed by a raucousful explosion of dubstep courtesy of DJ Blaze One [video to come].
And then came the air raid sirens…holy funking shit—IT WAS MOCHIPET.
Pre-sale tickets are available at Vital Culture for ($15) or can be bought at the Soundbar this Thursday through Big O (Aaron Oesterreich) himself. Aaron will also be giving away two free tickets Thursday night (10 p.m. to 2 a.m.). Soundbar is located at 414 3rd Avenue, North Minneapolis, 55401.
Mochipet is a prolific producer and has toured internationally in his trademark purple dinosaur suit, bringing his eclectic stylings and genre-blending skills to dance floor after dance floor. Come early and check out, DJ Blaze One and Dirty Talk, who will be sending the night off in proper fashion.
