Paper Diamond - Levitate EP - Now Available

From Pretty Lights Music: The debut release from Colorado based producer Paper Diamond is out today.  The EP entitled “Levitate” is available as a free download via Pretty Lights Music and Elm & Oak Records. The eight track EP features new music written by Paper Diamond and one track co-produced by Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic.  The tracks embody the type of raw energy and dramatic anticipation only a seasoned producer can incite. Driving beats and bass grab on tight while deep, rich tones rumble under layers of spacey synthesizers, sweet melodies, and catchy vocals.

Polarity Achieved: Alex B in Minneapolis

Alex B (Alex Botwin) once again shed his mellow Pnuma Trio side last Friday as he ignited an evening of top-notch bass music with a DJ set to rival the best.  Venturing through a labyrinth of beats and style, including the likes of 507 favorites Lazer Sword and EPROM, Alex held nothing back for the Twin Cities.  Spending a moment to reflect, it is hard to name an artist that contains such polarity in his performances.  While Pnuma Trio and his own solo production work is enjoyable to no end, it is a treat to see him cast aside those stylings and lay down an intensive set brimming with unstoppable dance beats.  Ladies and gents, Alex B:

She Rock the Party: Ana Sia in Minneapolis

The always hyphe Ana Sia rounded off an evening of dance last Friday (10.8.2010) at the Loft with her signature blend of bass nasty hip-hop unearthed from forgotten craters, formed ages ago from the impact of a stellar fuckopalypse blapteroid in the far reaches of the planet and expertly mined by her highness and cured to sustain the raging masses of Minneapolis for at least another week...or so the Mystics say.
