Always Bring a Lazer Sword to a Gunfight

In late 2009, 507projex made two New Year's resolutions for 2010. 1) See Lazer Sword live (preferrably in Minneapolis) and 2) See Mochipet live (preferrably in Minneapolis). Last Friday, we fulfilled the former.
Lazer Sword, comprised of San Fransisco live blappers LOW LIMIT and Lando Kal, made their first appearance in Minneapolis and engaged the Minnesota Massive with an onslaught of blip-hopping lazer-bassy dance hits, complete with the erradic dolphin noises recently cropping up in their mixes. Despite low attendance due to Spring Fling, the crowd raged egregiously to one of American electronic music's contemporary heavyweights; a crew battling Lazer Sword's sounds like gundam soldiers soaring above 22nd Century Shibuya fighting sea monsters with phaser cannons and sonic blaps. Eternal props to TCdubstep for bringing the bass-heat to Minneapolis!
